Ingredients/Components
- butter
- egg - 1 item
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- garlic powder - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1 tsp
- mustard
- mayonnaise
- parsley
- paprika to taste - 1 item
- Italian seasoned bread crumbs - 1/4 c
- cayenne pepper - 1/4 tsp
- saltine crackers, crushed - 8 item
- crab backfin or lump - 1 lb
- packet George Washington golden broth dry - 1 item
- piece bread, crumbled - 1 item
How to make crab cakes:
Seasonings:2 tsp. parsley1 tsp. garlic powder1 tsp. pepper1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper Mix egg, mayonnaise and mustard together until smooth texture. Mold into crab. Add seasonings and lemon juice. Then add bread, bread crumbs and crackers.Mold six crab cakes in a baking dish. Put a 1/8-inch slice of butter on top of each cake and then sprinkle paprika on all the cakes. Bake for 20 minutes at 400° and then broil for 5 minutes. You may adjust seasonings to your own taste.
