Ingredients/Components

  • butter
  • egg - 1 item
  • lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
  • garlic powder - 1 tsp
  • pepper - 1 tsp
  • mustard
  • mayonnaise
  • parsley
  • paprika to taste - 1 item
  • Italian seasoned bread crumbs - 1/4 c
  • cayenne pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • saltine crackers, crushed - 8 item
  • crab backfin or lump - 1 lb
  • packet George Washington golden broth dry - 1 item
  • piece bread, crumbled - 1 item

How to make crab cakes:

Seasonings:2 tsp. parsley1 tsp. garlic powder1 tsp. pepper1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper Mix egg, mayonnaise and mustard together until smooth texture. Mold into crab. Add seasonings and lemon juice. Then add bread, bread crumbs and crackers.

Mold six crab cakes in a baking dish. Put a 1/8-inch slice of butter on top of each cake and then sprinkle paprika on all the cakes. Bake for 20 minutes at 400° and then broil for 5 minutes. You may adjust seasonings to your own taste.
