Ingredients/Components

  • butter or margarine - 3 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped celery - 1 c
  • bay leaf - 1 item
  • coarsely chopped onion - 1 c
  • cayenne - 1/4 tsp
  • black pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • thyme - 1/2 tsp
  • fresh chopped parsley - 1/4 c
  • garlic cloves, chopped - 2 item
  • fresh tomato wedges - 2 c
  • cooked, deveined shrimp - 2 c

How to make shrimp creole:

Melt butter and saute garlic, onion and celery for about 5 minutes. Add tomatoes and all seasonings, except parsley. Cover and simmer about 5 minutes. Add parsley. Serve over cooked rice at once. Serves 4.
