Shrimp creole
Ingredients/Components
- water - 1/2 c
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- celery, chopped - 1 c
- can tomatoes - 1 oz
- small can tomato paste - 1 item
- deveined shrimp - 1 lb
- bay leaves whole - 2 item
How to make shrimp creole:
Steam shrimp about 1 minute. Set aside and peel when cool. Don't steam too long because you're gonna use them in the hot sauce later on. Nobody likes to eat soggy shrimp.Combine the other ingredients and bring to a slow boil. Reduce heat and simmer until onion is transparent. Stir often. Add salt and pepper to taste. Remember Tabasco sauce goes a long way. Add shrimp and heat 2 minutes. Serve over hot rice.
