Shrimp creole
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt
- salad oil - 3 Tbsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- chili powder - 1/2 1
- chopped onions - 1/2 c
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- can tomatoes - 1 item
- can seasoned tomato sauce - 1 item
- raw shrimp, cleaned and deveined - 12 oz
How to make shrimp creole:
In hot oil, cook onions, celery and garlic until tender, but not brown. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, sugar, chili powder and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 45 minutes; thicken with cornstarch. Add shrimp and green pepper. Cover and simmer until done, about 5 minutes. Serve with rice.Recipe categories: Seafood, Shellfish, Shrimp.
