Shrimp creole
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt
- cornstarch - 1 tsp
- water - 2 tsp
- salad oil - 3 Tbsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- chili powder - 1 tsp
- chopped onions - 1/2 c
- dash of Tabasco sauce - 1 item
- can 2 c - 1 lb
- can seasoned tomato sauce - 1 oz
- shrimp or sea legs - 12 oz
- chopped green peppers - 1/2 c
How to make shrimp creole:
Cook onions, celery and garlic in hot oil until tender, but not brown. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and seasonings. Simmer uncovered 45 minutes. Mix cornstarch with 2 teaspoons of water. Stir into sauce. Cook and add shrimp and peppers. Cook 5 minutes more. Serve over rice.Recipe categories: Seafood, Shellfish, Shrimp.
