Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • salt
  • cornstarch - 1 tsp
  • water - 2 tsp
  • salad oil - 3 Tbsp
  • clove garlic, minced - 1 item
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
  • chopped celery - 1/2 c
  • chili powder - 1 tsp
  • chopped onions - 1/2 c
  • dash of Tabasco sauce - 1 item
  • can 2 c - 1 lb
  • can seasoned tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • shrimp or sea legs - 12 oz
  • chopped green peppers - 1/2 c

How to make shrimp creole:

Cook onions, celery and garlic in hot oil until tender, but not brown. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and seasonings. Simmer uncovered 45 minutes. Mix cornstarch with 2 teaspoons of water. Stir into sauce. Cook and add shrimp and peppers. Cook 5 minutes more. Serve over rice.
