Hearty potato soup
Ingredients/Components
- medium potatoes, peeled and sliced - 6 item
- carrots, diced - 2 item
- celery stalks, diced - 6 item
- water - 2 qt
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- butter - 6 Tbsp
- flour - 6 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- milk
How to make hearty potato soup:
In a large kettle, cook the potatoes, carrots and celery in water until tender (approximately 20 minutes). Drain, reserving liquid. Set vegetables aside. In the same kettle, saute onion in butter until transparent. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly, until thickened. Gently stir in cooked vegetables.
