Ingredients/Components
- cucumbers - 7 lb
- pickling lime - 1 c
- vinegar - 1 qt
- pack cinnamon sticks - 1/2 item
- sugar - 5 lb
- mace - 1 tsp
- turmeric - 1 tsp
- whole cloves - 1 tsp
How to make lime pickles:
Slice cucumbers and soak in lime for 24 hours. Add cold water to cover cucumbers and cover for 2 days. Rinse and drain. On 3rd day, add remaining ingredients and simmer until hot. Pour into quart jars and seal.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Fruit, Appetizers.
