Hearty potato soup



Ingredients/Components
- milk
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 2 qt
- margarine - 6 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- carrots, diced - 2 item
- stalks celery, diced - 6 item
- medium potatoes, peeled and sliced - 6 item
How to make hearty potato soup:
In a large kettle, cook potatoes, carrots and celery in water until tender, about 20 minutes. Drain, reserving liquid and setting vegetables aside. In the same kettle, saut?© onion in butter until soft. Stir in flour, salt and pepper; gradually add milk, stirring constantly, until thickened. Gently stir in cooked vegetables.
