Hearty potato soup
Ingredients/Components
- milk
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 6 Tbsp
- butter - 6 Tbsp
- water - 2 qt
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- carrots, diced - 2 item
- celery stalks, diced - 6 item
- medium potatoes, peeled and sliced - 6 item
How to make hearty potato soup:
In large kettle, cook potatoes, carrots and celery in water until tender. Drain, reserving liquid and set aside vegetables. In same kettle saute onion in butter until soft. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until thickened. Gently stir in cooked vegetables.
