Shrimp creole
Ingredients/Components
- green pepper, chopped - 1/4 c
- onion, chopped - 1/2 c
- celery, finely chopped - 1 c
- canned tomatoes - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- shrimp, cleaned and cooked - 1 lb
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- water - 1/2 c
- prepared mustard - 1 tsp
- sugar - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1 tsp
- bacon drippings - 3 Tbsp
How to make shrimp creole:
Saute pepper, onions and celery in bacon drippings. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, mustard, sugar and seasonings. Simmer 25 minutes. Add shrimp and simmer 10 minutes longer. Serve over rice.Recipe categories: Seafood, Shellfish, Shrimp.
