Ingredients/Components

  • green pepper, chopped - 1/4 c
  • onion, chopped - 1/2 c
  • celery, finely chopped - 1 c
  • canned tomatoes - 2 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • shrimp, cleaned and cooked - 1 lb
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • water - 1/2 c
  • prepared mustard - 1 tsp
  • sugar - 1/2 tsp
  • pepper - 1 tsp
  • bacon drippings - 3 Tbsp

How to make shrimp creole:

Saute pepper, onions and celery in bacon drippings. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, mustard, sugar and seasonings. Simmer 25 minutes. Add shrimp and simmer 10 minutes longer. Serve over rice.
