Shrimp creole
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt
- cornstarch - 1 tsp
- oil - 3 Tbsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- chili powder - 1/2 1
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- clove garlic - 1 item
- dash of Tabasco sauce - 1 item
- can tomatoes - 1 lb
- raw, cleaned shrimp - 12 oz
How to make shrimp creole:
Cook onion, celery and garlic in hot oil until tender but not brown. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and seasonings. Simmer, uncovered, 45 minutes. Mix cornstarch with 2 teaspoons of water. Stir into sauce. Add shrimp and green pepper. Cover; simmer until done.Recipe categories: Seafood, Shellfish, Shrimp.
