Shrimp and rice



  • butter or margarine - 1/4 c
  • paprika - 1 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
  • chopped celery - 1/2 c
  • chopped green pepper - 1/3 c
  • minced onion - 1/4 c
  • hot cooked rice - 3 c
  • shrimp - 1 lb
  • slices bacon - 4 item

How to make shrimp and rice:

Clean and devein shrimp; sprinkle with Worcestershire sauce and paprika. Melt butter or margarine in a large skillet. Add celery, green pepper and onion. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes. Add shrimp; increase heat and cook 5 minutes more, or until shrimp turn pink. Add hot rice; mix thoroughly. Remove from heat. Fry bacon until crisp; crumble and add with bacon drippings to shrimp. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
