Chicken and noodle casserole
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 10 oz
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- margarine or butter - 1/4 c
- light cream - 1 c
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c
- cooked cubed chicken - 4 c
- can condensed chicken broth
- can mushrooms, undrained - 4 oz
- buttered bread cubes - 1/2 1
How to make chicken and noodle casserole:
Heat oven to 350°. Grease 2 1/2-quart casserole. Cook noodles as directed; drain. In medium saucepan, melt margarine; blend in flour. Stir in cream, salt and broth. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Combine chicken, mushrooms and noodles in casserole. Pour mixture over casserole. Sprinkle with bread cubes and Parmesan cheese. Bake, uncovered, for 1 hour or until center is bubbly and top is browned (lightly).Recipe categories: < 60 mins, Main dish, Casseroles.
