Beef oriental casserole
Ingredients/Components
- lean ground beef - 1 lb
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- diced green pepper - 1/4 c
- elbow macaroni - 1 c
- can sliced water chestnuts, undrained - 16 oz
- jar diced pimento, undrained - 12 oz
- can condensed cream of celery soup - 1 1/2
- milk - 1 c
- soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
- chow mein noodles - 1/2 c
How to make beef oriental casserole:
Brown ground beef with onion and green pepper in uncovered skillet at 325°. Remove any excess grease. Add cooked macaroni, water chestnuts, pimento, celery soup, milk and soy sauce; stir to blend. Bring just to a boil; cover. Reduce heat to simmer. Heat 10 to 15 minutes. Reduce to "warm" setting and garnish with chow mein noodles for serving.
