Ingredients/Components
- cooked squash, drained - 3 c
- bread crumbs
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- large onion, chopped fine - 1 item
- butter - 1/4 c
- can cream of chicken or mushroom soup - 1 item
- grated cheese - 1 c
How to make squash casserole:
Mix egg, butter and cream of chicken or mushroom soup. Add squash, bread crumbs and onion. Stir well and place in a square 9 x 9-inch Pyrex dish or pan of your choice. (Glass cooks a little quicker.) Cook until almost done, then sprinkle cheese on top and let brown.Recipe categories: Squash, Side dish, Casseroles.
