Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- butter - 5 Tbsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- bread crumbs - 1 item
- minced onion - 2 Tbsp
- minced parsley - 1 Tbsp
- celery salt - 1/2 tsp
- dash of hot sauce - 1 item
- sherry - 2 Tbsp
- dash of black pepper - 1 item
- minced green pepper - 1 Tbsp
- fresh crabmeat - 1 lb
- pimento, minced - 1 item
How to make crabmeat casserole:
Make white sauce of butter, flour and milk; then add next six ingredients. Remove from heat. Add sherry. Add little hot sauce to egg; then add egg to rest of sauce. Add hot sauce, salt, pepper and crabmeat. Put in 1 1/2-quart casserole; sprinkle top with bread crumbs, mixed with 1 tablespoon melted butter. Bake in 350° oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
