Squash casserole
Ingredients/Components
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- evaporated milk - 1/2 c
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- bread crumbs - 1 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- grated mild cheese - 1 c
- chopped yellow squash about 1 lb - 3 c
How to make squash casserole:
Melt butter in bottom of shallow baking dish. Add alternately squash, salt, pepper, onions, bread crumbs and cheese. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used. Pour over the top, the evaporated milk and bake at 350° for about 40 minutes or until nicely browned. Makes 4 to 6 servings.Recipe categories: Squash, Side dish, Casseroles.
