Squash casserole
Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- stick margarine - 1/2 item
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- medium onion, diced - 1 item
- black pepper - 1/4 tsp
- crushed potato chips
- slightly beaten egg - 1 item
- grated cheese Velveeta - 3/4 c
- yellow squash - 2 lb
- sprinkle of crushed red pepper - 1 item
How to make squash casserole:
Cook squash and onion together until tender. Drain. Add sour cream, margarine, salt, nutmeg, black pepper, red pepper and slightly beaten egg. Pour half of the squash into casserole dish. Cover with half of the potato chips and cheese. Add remaining squash, potato chips and cheese. Sprinkle lightly with paprika.
