Ingredients/Components

  • butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
  • paprika - 1/2 tsp
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • chopped onion - 1/4 c
  • chili powder - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
  • clove garlic, crushed - 1 item
  • cans diced or stewed tomatoes - 2 oz
  • uncooked shrimp - 1/2 3/4
  • basil or marjoram - 1/2 tsp

How to make shrimp creole:

Clean and devein shrimp. Set aside. In frypan, cook onion and green pepper in butter until limp. Stir in remaining ingredients, mixing well. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer over low heat 12 to 15 minutes or until shrimp are firm and pink, stirring occasionally. Serves 4 to 5.
