Shrimp creole
Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
- paprika - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- chili powder - 1/2 tsp
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- clove garlic, crushed - 1 item
- cans diced or stewed tomatoes - 2 oz
- uncooked shrimp - 1/2 3/4
- basil or marjoram - 1/2 tsp
How to make shrimp creole:
Clean and devein shrimp. Set aside. In frypan, cook onion and green pepper in butter until limp. Stir in remaining ingredients, mixing well. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer over low heat 12 to 15 minutes or until shrimp are firm and pink, stirring occasionally. Serves 4 to 5.Recipe categories: Seafood, Shellfish, Shrimp.
