Sausage gravy
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 qt
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 6 Tbsp
- ground nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- finely chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
- poultry seasoning - 1/2 tsp
- bulk pork sausage - 1 lb
- biscuits - 1 item
How to make sausage gravy:
Crumble sausage into a large saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat. Add onion. Cook and stir until transparent. Drain. Discard all but 2 tablespoons of the drippings. Stir in flour. Cook over medium-low heat about 6 minutes or until mixture bubbles and turns golden. Stir in milk. Add seasonings. Cook until thickened.
