Ingredients/Components

  • bulk pork sausage - 1 lb
  • finely chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
  • flour - 6 Tbsp
  • milk - 1 qt
  • poultry seasoning - 1/2 tsp
  • ground nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • dash of Worcestershire sauce - 1 item

How to make sausage gravy:

Crumble sausage into large saucepan; cook over medium-low heat. Add onion; cook and stir until transparent. Drain, discarding all but 2 tablespoons of drippings. Stir in flour; cook over medium-low heat about 6 minutes or until mixture bubbles and turns golden. Stir in milk. Add seasonings and cook, stirring until thickened. Serve over sliced biscuits.
