Sausage gravy
Ingredients/Components
- bulk pork sausage - 1 lb
- finely chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
- flour - 6 Tbsp
- milk - 1 qt
- poultry seasoning - 1/2 tsp
- ground nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- dash of Worcestershire sauce - 1 item
How to make sausage gravy:
Crumble sausage into large saucepan; cook over medium-low heat. Add onion; cook and stir until transparent. Drain, discarding all but 2 tablespoons of drippings. Stir in flour; cook over medium-low heat about 6 minutes or until mixture bubbles and turns golden. Stir in milk. Add seasonings and cook, stirring until thickened.
