Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 1 c
  • cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
  • water - 8 c
  • margarine - 3 Tbsp
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • onion, chopped fine - 2 Tbsp
  • celery, chopped fine - 2 Tbsp
  • carrots, chopped fine - 2 Tbsp
  • large white potatoes, cut in small chunks - 6 item
  • celery flakes for color - 1 Tbsp

How to make potato soup:

Cook potatoes on medium until tender with margarine, onion, celery, carrots, celery flakes, salt and pepper. Add milk and simmer. To thicken, mix cornstarch in small amount of water until blended, then add to soup (flour can be used, if preferred).
