Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 2 c
  • flour - 1/2 c
  • water - 1 item
  • margarine - 1/2 c
  • can chicken broth - 1 item
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • onion, chopped - 2 Tbsp
  • rib celery, chopped - 1 item
  • potatoes, peeled and cubed - 6 item
  • large carrot, chopped - 1 item

How to make potato soup:

Place vegetables in large saucepan or Dutch oven. Cover with broth and water to 1-inch over vegetables. Simmer 20 minutes or until tender. Do not drain.

Meanwhile, in another pan, melt margarine; add flour. Blend. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly. When white sauce has thickened, add to vegetable pot.
