Popcorn balls



  • sugar - 1 c
  • water - 1 c
  • corn syrup - 1/2 c
  • popped corn - 3 qt
  • salt optional - 1/4 tsp

How to make popcorn balls:

In a quart saucepan, combine sugar, syrup and water. Bring to boil over medium heat. Reduce heat; cook until candy thermometer reaches 280° or candy forms a ball when dropped in cold water. Remove from heat. Add salt. Pour over popcorn; stir to coat well. Shape into balls with buttered hands. Makes 12 popcorn balls.
