Popcorn balls
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 3/4 tsp
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- butter - 1/2 c
- water - 1/2 c
- corn syrup - 1/2 c
- popped corn - 3 qts
How to make popcorn balls:
Put sugar, syrup, butter, water and salt into saucepan and cook, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Continue cooking, without stirring, until syrup forms a butter ball when dropped in cold water (245 degrees on candy thermometer). Add vanilla and stir only enough to mix (you may also add food coloring). Pour over popcorn. Wet hands and form into balls.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Snacks, Grains.
