Candied sweet potatoes
Ingredients/Components
- Miniature Marshmallows - 1 item
- Cups Brown Sugar - 2 item
- 5-7 Large Yams
- Cup Butter cut into cubes - 1 item
How to make candied sweet potatoes:
Boil yams until tender. Drain, set aside to cool, remove skin. Slice yams and place in glass pyrex dish. Add butter and brown sugar. Place in preheated oven at 325, cook for 2 hours, watch to see if syrup is forming. Before serving, cover with marshmallows and place under broiler to brown the marshmallows (be sure to watch them as it doesn't take long for the marshmallows to brown).
