Potato supreme
Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 1 pt
- salt - 1 tsp
- melted butter - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- grated Cheddar cheese - 10 oz
- crushed corn flakes - 2 c
- frozen hash brown potatoes - 2 lb
- butter, melted and mixed with crushed corn flakes - 1/4 c
How to make potato supreme:
Defrost hash browns and combine in large bowl with 1/2 cup melted butter. Add salt, pepper, onion, soup, sour cream and cheese. Blend thoroughly. Pour into buttered 3-quart casserole. Mix remaining butter with corn flakes and sprinkle over potatoes. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.For an entree, add 2 cups diced chicken or ham. Serves 12 to 16.
