Shrimp creole
Ingredients/Components
- flour
- vegetable oil - 1/4 c
- paprika - 1/4 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1/4 tsp
- lemon - 1/2 item
- clove garlic - 1 item
- thyme - 1/4 tsp
- to 1 onion - 1/2 item
- water or dry white wine - 1/2 1
- shrimp precooked - 1 lb
- to 1 small can tomato sauce - 1/2 item
How to make shrimp creole:
Make a roux by mixing the flour in with the hot oil in a frying pan until browned. Add onion, chopped and garlic. Stir until soft. Add water and simmer until thick (like gravy). Add tomato sauce and spices with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in shrimp and heat thoroughly. Serve over white rice. Serves 4.Recipe categories: Seafood, Shellfish, Shrimp.
