Shrimp creole
Ingredients/Components
- salt
- oil - 1/3 c
- all-purpose flour - 1/4 c
- hot water - 1 c
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- chopped parsley - 1/2 c
- bay leaves - 2 item
- thyme - 1/2 tsp
- shrimp - 1 lb
- chopped bell pepper - 1/4 c
- small cloves garlic - 4 item
How to make shrimp creole:
Cut large shrimp in half. Blend flour into oil and brown, stirring constantly. Add water gradually and cook until thick, smooth and shining. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer 20 minutes. Add shrimp. Cook 5 more minutes. Serve over rice.Recipe categories: Seafood, Shellfish, Shrimp.
