Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 1/2 c
- water - 2 c
- oil - 2/3 c
- chili powder - 1/4 tsp
- dry red wine - 4 Tbsp
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- onion, chopped - 1 c
- parsley - 3 Tbsp
- black pepper - 3/4 tsp
- green pepper, chopped - 1/2 c
- celery, chopped - 1/3 c
- fresh lemon juice - 4 tsp
- bay leaves - 4 item
- cayenne pepper - 1/2 tsp
- thyme - 1/2 tsp
- shrimp - 2 lb
- whole cloves - 2 item
- garlic - 4 tsp
- whole allspice - 6 item
- can tomatoes, drained - 1 lb
- mace - 1/4 tsp
- green onion, chopped
- dry basil - 1/4 tsp
- minced dry chives - 1 Tbsp
How to make shrimp creole:
Make a paste with the oil and flour in a pot. Add the rest of the ingredients, except the shrimp. Simmer for about an hour. Add the shrimp and simmer until shrimp are done. Serve over rice.Recipe categories: Seafood, Shellfish, Shrimp.
