Salmon burgers
Ingredients/Components
- egg - 1 item
- margarine - 1 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1/3 c
- reduced calorie mayonnaise - 2 Tbsp
- uncooked oatmeal - 1/4 c
- bottled horseradish - 2 tsp
- slightly crushed corn flakes - 1/2 c
- can salmon, drained, skin removed and flaked - 1 1/2
How to make salmon burgers:
Mix all ingredients except margarine. Shape into 4 burgers. The mixture may be somewhat crumbly. Coat bottom of large skillet (nonstick) with margarine. Add the burgers. Preheat burner to medium-high. Place pan with burgers on burner. Cook for 7 to 8 minutes, until burgers form a nice brown crust. Carefully flip, being certain to take up the brown crust when turning. Reduce heat to medium and cook another 5 to 6 minutes. Good served with white sauce with English peas added. Contains 238 calories each.Recipe categories: Fish, Saltwater fish, Salmon.
