- fish fillets - 1 item
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 Tbsp
- crushed cracker crumbs - 1 item
- peanut oil for frying - 1 item
- corn meal - 3 Tbsp
- paprika - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/2 Tbsp
- water - 1 item
How to make deep fried fish:
To make batter dip, mix together corn meal, flour, paprika, salt and pepper with enough water to make a thin dip (about 1 cup). Crush saltine crackers until fine. Dip fillets in this dip, then roll in cracker meal. Deep fry in peanut oil until brown.Recipe categories: Low sodium, Fish, Seafood.
