Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- butter or margarine - 1 c
- flour - 3 c
- baking powder
- beaten eggs - 3 item
- mace only if you like - 1/4 tsp
How to make pound cake:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs to butter-sugar mixture. Mix flour, plus baking powder, into butter mix alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with flour. Bake at 350° for 60 minutes. This is too hot in my oven; I use 325°.Recipe is from Grandma Jones of Crofton.
