- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- butter - 1/2 lb
- almond extract - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- Crisco - 1/2 c
How to make pound cake:
Cream shortening. Add sugar gradually. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add flour, baking powder and salt sifted together, alternately with milk. Add flavoring. Bake 1 hour and 20 minutes at 300°.
