Upside-down german chocolate cake



  • cream cheese - 8 oz
  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • coconut - 1 c
  • margarine - 1 c
  • box powdered sugar - 1 item
  • box German chocolate cake mix - 1 item

How to make upside-down german chocolate cake:

Spread pecans and coconut evenly in the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch cake pan. Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Pour cake mixture over nuts and coconut. Mix margarine, cream cheese and powdered sugar together. (This works best if margarine is melted and cream cheese is softened.) Pour mixture evenly over cake mix. Bake at 350° for 45 to 60 minutes, depending upon individual oven temperatures.
