Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- evaporated milk - 1 c
- soda - 2 tsp
- fruit cocktail - 2 c
- pecans or coconut or both - 1/2 c
- Add eggs, fruit cocktail and vanilla; mix well
How to make fruit cocktail cake:
Mix the first 4 ingredients. Add eggs, fruit cocktail and vanilla; mix well. Pour into a 9 x 12-inch pan. Sprinkle over mixture in pan the brown sugar and pecans or coconut, or both. Bake at 350° until done.Sauce:1 stick margarine1 tsp. vanilla1 c. sugar1 c. evaporated milk Bring the ingredients to a boil in a saucepan, then pour over cake while warm.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Fruit.
