Ingredients/Components
- water - 3/4 c
- shredded lettuce - 1 c
- ground beef - 1 lb
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 3/4 c
- can corn, drained - 1 3/4
- taco seasoning mix - 1 pkg
- can tomatoes and green chilies, drained - 1 oz
- 6-inch pita rounds - 5 item
How to make pitas:
Cook ground beef and drain well. Add seasoning mix, water, tomatoes and green chilies and corn. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 15 to 20 minutes. Cut bread rounds in half. Place on baking sheet and bake at 250° for 10 minutes, or until warm. Fill each pocket half full with meat mixture and top with lettuce and cheese.
