Banana bran bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2/3 c
- milk - 1/4 c
- butter or margarine - 1/3 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- baking powder
- applesauce - 1/4 c
- 100% bran cereal - 1 c
- raisins, dates and nuts optional - 1 item
- large ripe and mashed bananas - 2 item
How to make banana bran bread:
Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl. Soften butter and add. Stir until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Add next 3 ingredients and optional items. Mix until blended. Pour into a 9 x 5 x 3-inch greased pan (use Pam in the loaf pan). Preheat oven to 350°. Cook 50 to 60 minutes or until done. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then remove to rack to cool completely.
