Italian sausage soup
Ingredients/Components
- mild Italian sausage - 1 lb
- hot Italian sausage - 1 lb
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- green peppers, chopped - 2 item
- beef broth - 4 c
- red wine
- garlic - 1 tsp
- chopped parsley - 2 Tbsp
- oregano - 2 Tbsp
- basil - 2 Tbsp
- can tomatoes or puree - 1 oz
- pasta noodles to taste - 1 item
How to make italian sausage soup:
Cook sausage, then saute the onion and green peppers. Add broth and red wine; bring to a boil. Add garlic, basil, oregano, parsley and tomatoes. Cover and cook for 1 hour. Slow to simmer. Serve over cooked pasta noodles. Add Parmesan cheese to bowl. Serve with garlic bread.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Meat, Pork.
