Ingredients/Components

  • mild Italian sausage - 1 lb
  • hot Italian sausage - 1 lb
  • large onion, chopped - 1 item
  • green peppers, chopped - 2 item
  • beef broth - 4 c
  • red wine
  • garlic - 1 tsp
  • chopped parsley - 2 Tbsp
  • oregano - 2 Tbsp
  • basil - 2 Tbsp
  • can tomatoes or puree - 1 oz
  • pasta noodles to taste - 1 item

How to make italian sausage soup:

Cook sausage, then saute the onion and green peppers. Add broth and red wine; bring to a boil. Add garlic, basil, oregano, parsley and tomatoes. Cover and cook for 1 hour. Slow to simmer. Serve over cooked pasta noodles. Add Parmesan cheese to bowl. Serve with garlic bread.
