Ingredients/Components
- ground beef - 1 lb
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- fresh corn - 2 c
- can tomatoes with liquid, cut up - 1 oz
- can kidney beans, rinsed and drained - 1 1/2
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- envelope taco seasoning - 1 1/4
- corn chips optional - 1 item
- shredded cheese optional - 1 item
- sour cream optional - 1 item
How to make taco soup:
In a large saucepan, brown beef and onion; drain. Add corn, tomatoes, kidney beans, tomato sauce and taco seasoning. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve with corn chips, cheese and/or sour cream, if desired. Yield 4 to 6 servings (1 1/2 quarts).Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Main dish, Ground beef.
