  • oleo - 4 Tbsp
  • croutons - 1 item
  • Parmesan cheese, grated - 1 item
  • chicken stock or bouillon - 6 c
  • onions, sliced very thin - 3/4 lb

How to make french onion soup:

Brown onions in butter; add stock and cook slowly until onions are soft. Serve with croutons and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
