Creamy macaroni and cheese
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 3 c
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- melted margarine
- all-purpose flour
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- dry mustard - 1/4 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 3/4 tsp
- 6 oz
- dry bread crumbs - 3 Tbsp
- small onion, grated - 1/2 item
- sharp cheese, shredded - 8 oz
How to make creamy macaroni and cheese:
Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and put into greased 2-quart casserole dish.Melt margarine, blend in flour, mustard, salt and pepper. Remove from heat and add milk gradually. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Add Worcestershire sauce, onion and cheese. Stir until cheese is melted. Pour over macaroni. Mix bread crumbs with melted margarine and sprinkle over top of macaroni. Bake in 375° oven for 30 minutes. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
