sugar - 3 c
eggs - 5 item
vanilla - 2 tsp
milk - 1 c
salt - 1/2 tsp
butter - 1 c
cocoa - 5 Tbsp
baking powder - 1/2 tsp
shortening - 1/2 c
cake flour - 3 c

How to make chocolate pound cake:

Cream together butter and shortening. Add sugar and mix well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together. Add dry ingredients and milk alternately to creamed mixture and mix thoroughly. Pour into a 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Yield 20-25 servings.
