Chicken or pork adobo
Ingredients/Components
- vegetable oil - 1/4 c
- vinegar - 1 c
- pepper - 1 tsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
- pork, chopped into 1-inch cubes or 1 regular cut-up frying chicken - 2 lb
- piece garlic, smashed - 1 item
- fresh ginger, sliced - 1/2-i item
- shoyu or salt to taste - 1 item
How to make chicken or pork adobo:
Season chicken or pork with salt and pepper. Place in saucepan and add ginger, garlic and vinegar. Let simmer for 1 hour on low heat or until tender. If water is needed, add 1/4 cup water. Add more salt or shoyu to taste, if necessary. When meat is tender, saute with vegetable oil until browned. Serve hot.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Chicken, Main dish.
