Chicken and wild rice casserole
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- chicken breasts - 4 lb
- Cheddar cheese, grated
- small onions, chopped - 2 item
- jar sliced mushrooms - 1 item
- box wild rice - 1 item
- 1/2 cans cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
How to make chicken and wild rice casserole:
Cook chicken and shred meat; set aside. Cook rice as directed; set aside. Cook onions in margarine. Blend in flour, soup, mushrooms and milk. This is your sauce so add salt and pepper. In a large casserole, add sauce, then rice, then chicken. Top with cheese. Bake at 300° until bubbly or cheese melts.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Casseroles.
