Chicken and dumplings
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 4 Tbsp
- clove garlic, chopped - 1 item
- medium onions, chopped - 2 item
- chicken thighs
- cup water - 1 item
- green peppers, chopped - 2 item
- stick butter or margarine - 1/2 item
- red pepper, chopped - 1 item
- cups sour cream - 2 item
- 1/2 cups flour - 2 item
- Salt, pepper, paprika - 1 item
- Sprinkle with salt, pepper and paprika
- Salted boiling water - 1 item
How to make chicken and dumplings:
In a large skillet, saut?© peppers, onions and garlic in margarine or butter until tender. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and paprika. Add water and chicken and simmer until chicken is tender. Remove chicken. (I like to remove skin and bone, after cooking, but it isn't necessary.) Add 4 Tbsp. of flour to 2 cups of sour cream and stir into broth until thickened.Dumplings:4 eggs2 1/2 cups flour1/2 cup water Salted boiling water Mix with fork and drop teaspoon full into boiling water until they float.
