Sugared pecans



  • sugar - 1 c
  • egg whites - 2 item
  • oleo, melted - 1/2 c
  • or 4 c - 1 lb

How to make sugared pecans:

Beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually add sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, beating until stiff peaks form. Fold in pecans. Pour oleo into 15 x 10 x 1-inch jelly roll pan. Spread mixture over oleo. Bake at 325° for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Cool and store in airtight container. Yield: 4 cups.
