sugar - 1 c
vanilla - 1/2 tsp
milk - 3 Tbsp
salt - 1/2 tsp
flour - 3 c
baking powder
lemon extract - 1/2 tsp
slightly beaten egg - 1 item
soft butter or margarine - 1 c

How to make sugar cookies:

Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add sugar and mix. Cut softened butter into flour mixture until fine. Add egg, flavorings and milk. Blend thoroughly. (May work this with your hands to mix well.) Refrigerate dough for 2 hours. Roll dough on floured surface 1/8 to 1/4-inch thickness. Bake at 350° for 5 to 8 minutes. Watch closely.
