Sugar cookies

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1/2 c
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• butter - 1/2 c
• baking powder - 2 tsp
• egg - 1 item
• flour plain - 2 c

How to make sugar cookies:

Cream margarine, sugar, vanilla and egg until light and fluffy. Add flour and baking powder; mix well. Chill dough for 2 hours or overnight. Roll out on a lightly floured surface until 1/8-inch thick. Cut with cookie cutter. Place on baking sheet (ungreased). Bake in 375° oven until lightly brown about 10 minutes. Cool before storing. Two cookies equal 58 calories.
