Stuffed mushrooms



  • melted butter - 1/4 lb
  • chopped celery - 1/2 c
  • bread crumbs - 1/2 c
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • cheese - 1 item
  • minced onion - 1/2 c
  • minced green pepper - 1/2 c
  • large fresh mushrooms - 1 lb

How to make stuffed mushrooms:

Clean mushrooms; remove stems and mince them. Saute mushroom caps in butter until lightly brown. Remove from heat, then saute minced onion, green pepper, mushroom stems and celery in butter. Add seasonings. Fill each mushroom cap with mixture. Sprinkle each with bread crumbs. Drizzle melted butter on top. Bake 10 to 15 minutes at 350°. Remove from oven. Top each one with a piece of cheese. Return to oven and bake until cheese is melted.
